    O Coyote

Once in the dead of night

    Quick Coyote caught my sight

Weaving through the hills up in the sky.

    Once far away from here

    Lone coyote caught my ear.

Go and find a place to run and hide.

    Trickster turned upside down

    O Coyote O Coyote

Over on the edge of town

    O Coyote O

    Trickster turned upside down

    O Coyote O Coyote

    Casting shadows on the ground

    O Coyote O

    Living in the wide open

    Trickster stole into my den

Climbing up a ladder to the sky.

Way out on the edge of space

    Look creation in the face:

    Thorns and scorpions, rivers dry.

    Way out on horizon’s line

    Look Creator in the eye:

    Cedar, Juniper & Pinion Pine.

    Meadowlark on river’s wind,

    Ladder up and back again,

Weaving through the hills up in the sky.

    100 Starling Sky

    Early Morning

    Pretty as a poem

    100 starling sky

    Our house surrounded

    In trees, on the ground
Won't you take me with you somehow?
And they flew above, walked below
    Flew above, walked below
